COOKIE & LOCAL STORAGE POLICY
Effective Date: January 15, 2026
Scope: Claruma Platform
1. TECHNICAL REALITY: BROWSER EXECUTION ("OFFLINE MODE")
It is important to understand how Claruma works technically. We do not download "files" (like .ppt or .pdf) to your hard drive for offline use. Instead, Claruma executes code that "paints" the interface directly in your browser. We use HTML5 LocalStorage and SessionStorage to cache this code and your data locally.
Warning on Volatility (Incognito/Private Mode): If you use Claruma in "Incognito" or "Private" mode, or if you clear your browser history/cache, you will lose your local preferences (Language, Dark/Light Theme, and cached sessions). This is a technical consequence of how browsers function, not a Claruma error.
2. ESSENTIAL TECHNOLOGIES (STRICTLY NECESSARY)
We use local storage mechanisms to query your environment and improve user experience (reducing server requests). Without these, the application cannot run:
- Session State: Keeping you logged in securely.
- UX Preferences: Remembering if you prefer English or Spanish, Dark Mode or Light Mode.
- Performance Cache: Storing assets locally so the app loads instantly.
3. ANALYTICS, PIXELS & THIRD-PARTY PARTNERS
Consent-Based Tracking. Upon your first visit, you choose whether to accept Marketing/Analytics cookies. If you accept:
- Partners (Google, Meta, TikTok): We may load tracking pixels from these partners. They allow us to perform Retargeting (showing you Claruma ads later because you interacted with us).
- Partner Usage: You acknowledge that these partners (e.g., Google or Meta) may also use this data for their own independent purposes according to their own privacy policies, which are outside Claruma's control.
- Future Tools: We may implement tools like GA4, Hotjar, or Clarity to analyze heatmaps and usability, but strictly only for users who have opted-in.
4. CCPA & "DO NOT SELL MY PERSONAL INFORMATION"
Although we operate globally, we voluntarily align with the high standards of the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). We provide a persistent link (often a floating widget or footer link) labeled "Do Not Sell My Personal Information".
By clicking this, you can verify your settings or opt-out of data collection that might be construed as a "sale" of data (such as sharing with ad networks) under strict interpretations of the law. We do this to exceed compliance requirements and guarantee your control.
5. MANAGING YOUR DATA
You can revoke your consent at any time via the "Do Not Sell / Privacy Preferences" link in the application. You can also clear your browser's "Cookies and Site Data", understanding that this will reset your Claruma interface preferences.
